The BMW 3-Series is currently used in both the SCCA Pro Racing Speed World Challenge Touring Car Series and Grand American Road Racing Association Series. At the end of 2006 the classification of the Grand Am, BMW finished second in the ranking of manufacturers in both the Grand Sport and Street Tuner class, while BMW E46 prepared by Turner Motorsport won the driver and team championship.
