How many times have you heard people say they would like to lose weight? If you are skinny, these words probably make you a little upset. While there is no doubt there are many people who would like to lose weight, there are probably just as many people who want to gain it. Skinny people are made fun of just as much as people who are overweight. It can be a constant battle to try and put on some pounds when no matter what you eat you can't gain any.

Many skinny people are embarrassed to go to the beach and either take off their shirt or wear a swimsuit. The constant heckling of being called bird chested or toothpick can seriously take a toll on a persons frame of mind.

Many skinny people will tell you that they have tried to work out, they have tried to eat food full of things that are supposed to pack on pounds and they have followed exercise plans with little or no success. After a while they really start to become upset because they are seeing no results at all.

What most skinny people do not realize is that there are at least seven things that will kill any chance of them gaining weight. While following a proper diet or a workout plan is necessary, if you are making any of those mistakes you are not going to see the results that you want.

If you are naturally thin, you really need to follow someone who has been thin before and was able to overcome their bodies natural fast metabolism. Following what you see in the bodybuilding magazines is just not going to get you the same results. Those people in the magazines have a completely different type of body structure.

Don't let past attempts keep you from achieving your goals. But what you must be 100% aware of is what is holding you back! There are things you would never think could effect your weight gain that do.
