Apricorn Offers 240GB 1.8-inch Portable Hard Drive

If you are always on the go, then you might need an ultra portable external hard drive that offers a huge storage capacity. Apricorn today announced the new Aegis Mini, a 240GB pocket drive that is claimed to be the world’s largest capacity 1.8-inch external hard drive. The hard drive runs at 4200RPM and has 2MB buffer memory. Measuring 17mm X 68.5mm X 86mm and weighing at just 3.7oz, the storage device is also available in 80GB, 160GB and 240GB storage capacities. The Apricorn Aegis Mini is available in capacities from 80GB, 120GB and 240GB at the prices of $149, $189 and $269 respectively. You can also purchase the Firewire version that will cost $10 more. That’s right! Dell has released its latest multi-touch Studio One 19 PC in Japan. This All-in-one PC is available in a variety of colors and offers a Core 2 Quad processor, 4GB of memory, 750GB hard disk, 6x USB, integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam, and NVIDIA GeForce 9400 graphics, and Blu-ray player. Acer DX650 In Philippines

Reactions to Acer’s DX650 are still mixed, which is really not surprising, given the phone’s dual-faced design. At first glance, a secondary display with numeric keypad would probably be a great SMS tool, but when you take into account the second screen is a tad tiny, it kind of makes you scratch your head in confusion. The device has entered the Philippine market, though its price of 24,990 pesos ($518) is certainly a little on the high side. Of course, if you absolutely love the dual-faced design, then you shouldn’t have too much trouble shelling out such a figure for this phone. From Uberphones.

Windows Marketplace Detailed

Some official details on Microsoft’s Windows Marketplace (WMM) for Mobile have surfaced. It’s no surprise to see that it’s actually quite similar to Apple’s App Store. Microsoft will give developers 70 percent of the profit from app sales and will allow them to choose their own prices. Developers will have to fork out $99 annually to submit their applications to the Windows Marketplace. The first year’s payment will include the cost of submitting up to 5 applications to WMM, and it will be an additional $99 per program after that. Students have it a little easier as they’re allowed to submit applications for free through the Microsoft DreamSpark program. From Uberphones.

The Submarine K95 Waterproof USB Drive

Here’s another cool USB drive for your collection, the K95 USB drive. Designed by Moscow’s Man Works Design, the drive comes in the shape of a submarine and it’s waterproof as well. You can choose from either a 1GB or a 2GB version with four different colors to choose from including green, white, red and black. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing and availability yet.
